Forum Guidelines

This is a place for public discussion, nothing else.
Use your best behaviour, and act as if you were in public with millions of people watching you, because technically, that's what this forum is. A public website where people come together to discuss certain topics.

Contribute to discussion, not stop it.
Never discuss any topic that doesn't contribute to the current discussion, or is rude and offensive to anyone else. If you don't agree with someone else on a certain statement or topic, that's fine, you can disagree with them. But remember to use counter-arguments and points that improve the discussion, not names or attacks that do not change the discussion in any way.

Set good examples for new users to follow.
New users may have trouble understanding what you can and can't do. If you see someone new who is doing the wrong thing, politely tell them the right thing to do. Then, if you see them doing the wrong thing again, you can notify a moderator or administrator about it.

Moderators aren't cleaners for the forum.
Believe it or not, moderators are just as equal as everyone else. They also want to contribute to discussion and talk with the community. They aren't just people who were hired to look after the server. If you see an inappropriate post or thread, notify a moderator about it and they'll take care of it.

Be mature and civil.
If you can't be mature and you're just here to be a troll and be rude to others, we'll be forced to punish you, and that's never fun. Don't ruin the fun for others by acting like a lunatic. In simple words; use common sense and don't be stupid.

Treat the forum like your house, and keep it tidy.
No one likes a messy and un-organised house. Treat the forum like your house and keep it tidy.
-
Every topic belongs in a category. Make sure you make yours in the right one.
-
Don't bump your thread just for attention or help. It's annoying.
-
Don't make list threads. There's nothing much to talk about. Instead, make specific threads.
-
Don't sign or autograph your posts, your profile is already attached to them.
-
Don't make posts like "+1" or "Agreed". Instead, use the like button.
-
Look for already existing threads before creating your own.

Copyright is part of the law. Don't break it.
You can be legally punished by publishing someone else's work without crediting the original creator, especially if you claim it as your own. If you're going to borrow something from another person, ask permission to post it, and credit them if they do allow you to use it. If they don't, walk away and don't argue with them.

The law still applies on this forum.
The law exists in every single place on the internet. Don't think this forum is any exception for it. Once again, you can be legally punished if you do not follow the law and be civil.

If you find anyone not following the guidelines after a warning, notify an administrator or moderator about the issue.
